Katt Williams, whose real name is Micah Sierra Williams, is a stand-up comedian and actor. He was born on September 2, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is the father of eight children. Williams began his comedy career in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Avondale before performing at clubs across the country. By 1999, he had appeared at major venues such as the Comedy Club and appeared on BET’s Comic View television program. In 2006, Williams starred in his first two comedy specials, Katt Williams: Live: Let a Playa Play, and the HBO special The Pimp Chronicles, Pt. 1.
Williams starred in his first full length comedy film in 2007 called American Hustle, which was critically successful and established the comedian in the mainstream. In 2008, he released his second HBO comedy special, It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’, before taking a four year break from stand-up comedy. However, he returned in 2012 for his third HBO comedy special, Kattpacalypse. In addition to his stand-up comedy career, Williams has appeared as supporting characters in films such as 2002’s Friday After Next, 2007’s Norbit and 2008’s First Sunday.
Katt Williams has an estimated net worth of $10 million. He headlined the Katt Is Back stand-up tour at major venues across the country in 2014. In addition, Williams premiered another HBO special in 2014 called Katt Williams: Priceless: Afterlife, which was directed by Spike Lee.
