For the love of…people STILL are confused about how Leia could remember her mother?
The only mother she ever knew was her ADOPTED mother.
Did these idiots see EP III? If they did were they paying attention?
    Call yourselves Star Wars fans…..pathetic.
We SEE her with her adopted mother at the end of EP III – do idiots need everything spelt out for them these days?

I absolutely think that Mara Jade will finally have a big screen appearance in Force Awakens. If they were going to pull anything from the Tarken legacy, it's the Emporor's Hand. The only unfortunate side of this is that she would be pretty old come the time of Episode VII.

"What's Disney gonna do? What's Disney gonna do?"

    "Well…what's LUCASFILM gonna do??"

EXACTLY! Thank you so much for being one of the only people who understand this! Disney doesn't mean anything when it comes to Star Wars right now except for cashing the checks for when Lucas graciously sold his company to them when he retired. Star Wars – is Lucasfilm's property and should be under Lucasfilm's creative control only. Boom.

The Anakin/virgin birth thing.  OK.  Have to go back to Plagueis's attempts to create life, which he did on some level according to the book by James Luceno.  Also, the cycling of the force is presented as being almost like Margas in Hinduism in someways – there are times when the dark side is in the ascendency, and times when the light side is more powerful.  Either way, balance is kept – Plagueis goes too far and creates life, the force retaliates and creates Anakin to keep the balance, hence the prophecy.  Therefore, his father is the process of the force itself, not the dark side or the light side, but the process of balancing out the two.

Actually, the graphic novel "The Star Wars" proves (although other people that had read that draft know it) that the original inhabitants of Endor were wookies, not Ewoks. The whole nature vs technology thing could have worked just as well with wookies. It could have been established that only few wookies left the planet and joined the overall community (like Chewbacca). Saying the wookies dont fit into that motif of nature vs technology is a judgment made in retrospect after seeing them in the prequels having all kinds of machinery around.

Thank god for Maude in this. I've seen the films but that's it. When John and christian start going they lose me with thron (sorry, no idea about spelling) and other stuff. Glad she pulls them back in and makes sure there's some explanation to the less Star Wars educated.

Also Glen Miller, Jack Snyder….awesome action fantasy directors who could do well in star wars or the rogue series!!

  14. Sauron Bastard

    May 10, 2017 8:25 pm

Campea and Harloff talk about using people at the top of their game to direct episode 9 and the rogue series, why is it that no one is talking about guillermo del torro.. who was going to do the hobbit, what about even Peter Jackson, what about Ronald Emmerich, stephen Spielberg..there are legendary directors who could direct the new star wars movies, but they are not discussed at all. I would love to see Guillermo del torro do a star wars movie, i think it would be awesome!!

    May 10, 2017 8:25 pm

Zack Synder comes to my mind when Campea says Directors that burn out by doing more than 3 movies in the same saga.Synder NEEDS TO LEAVE DC!

  16. MGSBigBoss77

    May 10, 2017 8:25 pm

Its so funny sometimes, Campea must know what people of think of him negatively on youtube with AMC and his arrogant comments half of the time. But every now and then i'll give even 'the devil' his due.

The fact he's a; "Heir to the Empire/Thrawn trilogy" fan wins me over once again! He gets my kudos here. If Thrawn was picked to be in Episode VII (despite Lucas comments about the old EU being out of bounds i.e. no) , means this new sequel trilogy will be totally sick and thensome 100x over!!!

    May 10, 2017 8:25 pm

Yeah about the new Canon and the old EU. there was many doomsayers I know freaking out about them reconing the whole EU. but I always took the comic approach that A.) this will not make your old stuff disappear forever and B.) unless something is out right said to not happen or happened differently, and if your favorite story still fits the Star Wars canon well then nothings wrong with you treating it as your personal fan canon. Like I'm a huge "knights of the old republic" era fan (which takes 1000s of years before episode 1). and so far at least that era hasn't been touched by the new canon so I don't see the problem for me to think Revan, Bastila, The Mandalore Wars, ext still happened.

the ewoks are stupid. sticks and stones vs blasters and walkers. the marines that walk across the amazone with gear and weapons is a stupid senario…. the marines would die from sickness, stavation, dehydration etc and not in a fight with a big animal.the only way i can see the Ewoks winning the battle of Endor is because their is not that many stormtroopers on the planet and they do not regard the Ewoks as a threat, and there is a loooooot of Eworks(i am running out of Walker fuel and blaster rounds).

  25. Brandon Barrett

    May 10, 2017 8:25 pm

I don't really see a prob with the way the ewoks helped take out the empire. Jungle warfare is one of if not the hardest type of military effort especially when the enemy is not familiar with the terrain. There's be a lol of army's that lost to tech inferior opponents because of where the battle took place. Plus the flim also showed how the ewoks used there terrain to beat them up.

LMAO dis passionate defense of the Ewoks from John.  They were a shameless money grab.  'Revenge of the Sith'was better than 'Rturn of the Jedi'  That movie sucked.

Can you cut back with the prequel hate a bit? I know not every one has to like the movies, but there are lots of fans of those movies (myself included). Of course i see the flaws in them,  but i also see a lot of good and i think the good outweighs be bad by far. They are part of cannon, if you hate them just deal with them really, its been 10 + years since episode 3.

But really i hate when people use them to feel like they are at another level artistically and have superior taste. You don't look cooler or smarter if you hate the prequels. I treat star wars as one giant story and i think its the healthiest way to see it.

And did the guy on the left said that he didn't dig the clone wars? really? what the hell is he doing even sitting there? i can moderately tolerate the prequel hate but not liking the clone wars is just ridiculous

One other thing about the Ewoks… I liked them because the Emperor saw everything and everything went according to his plan EXCEPT!!!… for the ewoks.  He didn't foresee this primitive race helping to take down the empire's troops.

Id take the tension that was felt during the lightsaber duels in Empire, and Jedi over any fight that happened in the prequels. Sure they werent flashy but they were realistic. Both Prowse and Hamil were fighting like the samurai from history. In the end, give us characters that we care about, and you lose the need for them to flip around, bounce off walls and all that other stuff that people seem to care about so much.
